Sickleholme Golf Club

Sickleholme Golf Club

Founded in 1898 Sickleholme is a small friendly club nestling in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park in Derbyshire some 13 miles from Sheffield, 16 miles from Chesterfield and 15 miles from Glossop.  With an undulating parkland course of 6,604 yards (Ladies 5,359 yards) and stunning views, it is hard to find a more spectacular or beautiful venue anywhere.

After playing the great course Bobby Locke was so impressed with it that a painting of the 13th hole graced the mantelpiece at his home in South Africa for many years.

Some extremely testing holes lie in wait for you at Sickleholme Golf Club's fine downland course.  Found just 14 miles to the west of Sheffield town centre, Sickleholme has many holes that have the potential to excite, intrigue and frustrate you, but if you apply patience and concentration then the rewards are there to be had.  A instant reward of teeing off here is that you will enjoy some fine views of the exceptional Derbyshire countryside which, on a clear day are hard to rival.

Hi Claire

First of all I would like to say thank you for creating such a wonderful property, everyone who came were blown away of how amazing the place looked. You have truly turned an old pub into something that looks like a boutique hotel.

The whole specification of the Derwent has been done at the highest standard, from everything from the decor to the electrics and heating. I will ensure that I include all this with the feedback give you on trip advisor.

There's nothing really that can be improved from such a fantastic property. It was definitely a 30th birthday to remember. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Guy Jones
